Leblond Machine Lathe

- slower the feed = smoother the finish

Turret Lathe
- 2-3/4" diameter spindle hole
- at 364 rpm
- slow feed approximately 12 minutes per 10 foot length

Tools
- an 8° clearance on cutting edge
- side clearance 8° to 10°
- rake 12°
- all forming tools - 8° to 10° rake

Vertical Milling Machine - a high helix plain milling cutter
- spindle speed - 875 rpm
- table feed - 5 minutes per 10 foot length
- all forming tools - 14° clearance

Bridgeport Milling Machine - milling bits should be a 2 flute slow helix
- flycutter can be used on large surface
- spindle feed - 1115 rpm, for slots - 1750 rpm
- table feed - approximately 24" per minute

Drilling
- large holes - 150 rpm
- small holes - 350 rpm

Large Planer - 3535 rpm - automatic feed 60 feet/minute

Small Planer - 3450 rpm - hand feed approximately 20 feet/minute

Saw
- cross cut - 2835 - 3425 rpm - 18" diameter blade
- table - 3500 rpm - 13" and 16" diameter blade
- every six tooth removed
